The March BC-2CP-MD Series 2 Magnetic Drive Centrifugal Pump is a compact, American-made sealless pump designed for reliable chemical recirculation, chemical transfer, and general fluid-handling applications. Its magnetic drive design eliminates the need for a traditional shaft seal, helping reduce leakage risk and maintenance while supporting dependable operation in demanding industrial environments.

The BC-2CP-MD can deliver a maximum flow of approximately 5 gallons per minute at 2 feet of head and a maximum head of 13 feet, or about 5.5 PSI. When operated at 50 Hz, performance is typically expressed in liters per minute and meters, while Air and DC motor configurations may follow different performance ratings.

The standard wet-end components are constructed from Polypropylene, Viton, and Ceramic, providing broad compatibility with many corrosive and chemically aggressive fluids. Depending on the application, optional materials are also available, including Polypropylene or Delrin housings and impellers, Buna-N, Viton, or Ethylene Propylene O-rings, and Ceramic or 316 Stainless Steel shafts.

The pump features a 0.375-inch female pipe thread and 0.75-inch male pipe thread inlet connection, along with a 0.25-inch male pipe thread outlet. It is commonly paired with a 1-phase, 115V or 230V, 0.025 horsepower blast-cooled motor capable of operating at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Pump performance may vary depending on the operating frequency.

The BC-2CP-MD is designed to withstand up to 50 PSI of internal pressure and handle liquid temperatures up to 190°F or 87°C. These capabilities make it suitable for a wide range of industrial, commercial, marine, processing, and equipment-based fluid circulation systems.

Typical applications include etching equipment, photographic processing equipment, ice flakers, plate processors, marine air conditioning systems, chemical circulation equipment, and other process-related installations requiring a compact and dependable magnetic drive pump.

The BC-2CP-MD may be used with a wide variety of fluids, including acetic acid, citric acid, ethylene glycol, formaldehyde, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, potassium chloride, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, sodium chloride, sulfuric acid, fresh water, salt water, and deionized water. Actual chemical compatibility depends on the pump's material configuration, fluid concentration, temperature, and operating conditions.
